Beacon House, a program of Concerned Citizens for Our Youth, Inc.,  is a facility licensed by the State of Alabama Department of Human Resources (SDHR) to provide Basic and Transitional Living (TLP) Residential Services to females ages 12-19.

Supports are based in a positive discipline approach and are individualized for each child and her needs. Residents are guided in learning to make positive decisions.  Various rules, consequences, and disciplinary guidelines assist residents in learning how to take responsibility for choices and behaviors.  Privileges are used to promote a healthy self-concept while developing appropriate decision-making skills.

Length of stay varies based on placement needs as well as progression and behavior in the program.  Stay requirements will be designated in each resident’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP).  These requirements may be amended based on the resident’s placement needs and progression and behavior in the program.
